AU Fine Arts Festival Enthralls Audience with 200 Masterworks
Hundreds of people flocked to the Fine Arts Festival, organized by the Office of Student Life, Ajman University (AU), at the Ajman Marina.
The over 200 pieces of art displayed by Ajman University students and their fellows from other universities were a big buzz in the event inaugurated by Dr. Nahla Al Qasimi, Dean of Student Services.
The exhibition saw the presence of Dr. Fahar Hayati, Dean, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr Prof. Platon Alexiou, Dean, College of Architecture, Art and Design, Dr Mohamed Helal, Director of Student Life, and Mrs. Mona Al Jebali Senior Officer, Art Activities.
Dr Qassimi said Ajman University is keen on involving students in co-curricular activities to develop their culture, encourage their talents, and enhance their skills.
“The festival reflects diversity as one of the core values of Ajman University which is home to over 70 nationalities.”
Mrs. Mona Al Jebali Senior Officer, Art Activities, said the exhibition featured oil painting, artwork, graphics, American art, pastel art, printing, leave alone an array of arts-related workshops.
“Maryam Ghuloom, an AU student, gave a presentation on the "Art of painting on shells", while Khawla Ahmed, an AU student, talked about the arts of graphics and portraiture.”
