Sports Day for AU Faculty, Staff

Ajman University (AU), for the third year in a row, has organized a sports day for its faculty and staff.

The diverse adrenaline-pumping activities are meant to develop communication among faculty and staff, and encourage them all to exercise more and lead a sound and healthy lifestyle.

In his inaugural speech, AU Chancellor, Dr. Karim Seghir, said he was so excited about organizing the third edition of the AU Sports Day, wishing all participants to enjoy the fun-filled day.

He also paid tributes to the organizers of the event which attracted a big number of AU faculty and employees.

To add a special flavor to the event, the competitions were presented by Lara Hadda, a famous Jockey with Al Rabia Radio 107.8 FM, Ajman, and Rami Hassan, a broadcaster with a famous radio here.

The Sports Day, held at AU stadium and Sports Complex, witnessed an array of competitions, including soccer, basketball, relay race, table tennis, volley ball, badminton, tug war, swimming, cross fit, kayaking, cricket, and Zumba,

The top three winners in each competition were then honored, while the sponsors of the day - Amina Hospitals and United Insurance Brokers, were feted for providing their free medical scans; blood pressure, blood sugar, and body mass index.
