Deanship of Student Services Organizes International Forum on Education and Mental Health
The Student Success Center, in collaboration with the Student Counseling Unit, organized and hosted an International Forum on Education and Mental Health (IFEMH) titled “Student Success and Mental Well-being- Global Perspectives on COVID-19 and its impact”. The Forum discussion was divided into 5 important sessions dedicated to topics relating to changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide; and its impact on student mental well-being and education-related dynamics.
The event was held from 14-15 February 2022. The discussion sessions at the forum included the following:
- Post COVID-19 Teaching and Learning Strategies: Now and in the Future
- The Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Students’ Performance and Academic Success
- Challenges, Opportunities, and Innovations in Education: Experiences from around the World
- Overview on Universities' Response to Mental Health Challenges of COVID-19
- Supporting Student's Mental Health through Uncertain Times
These sessions had 17 international speakers, educators, and researchers from different parts of the world who came together to share their insights and knowledge on the topic. The IFEMH 2022 was not only attended by students and faculty from AU or the UAE, but also by many international attendees.
